Aaron Hadlow on his 'Revolve' UK Tour 08 came to Edgeriders in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK - pictured above with Jon and Charlie of Edgeriders fame!!!
Aaron Hadlow and Jason Furness of Flexifoil arrived just after 10 o'clock on 20th May 2008 @ 53 Upper Orwell St Ipswich, IP4 1HP.
For all that missed out Aaron Hadlow the 4x Current World Kitesurfing Champion came to Edgeriders on on his whistlestop Revolve Tour of the UK along with Jason Furness - the wave legend. Both guys arrived in the Flexi truck, parked up and came into store. Jason seemed impressed with the amount of 'tech' in the shop and Aaron even bought an O'Neill impact vest so we were made up. Everyone tucked into scoff while Aaron did some signings - it was then time for the UK premier of Aaron's new vid 'Re:volve' which is officially launched on 1st June '08 . Youtube snip below:....
It was impressive, lots of great moves partnered with lots of cool editting - Aaron's vids just seem to get better everytime - click here to view 'Re:volve' now on the Flexifoil Hadlow Pro website.... There was a bunch of local reprobates that came along to meet the champ and get their boards or whatever signed. 'Archie' the local grom only ten years old an just started kiting was the pick of the day, he was made up seeing his hero in the flesh and got Aaron to sign literally everything - one to watch out for on local beaches and maybe comps in a few years to come.
Big up to Aaron and Jason for taking time out to visit the store and good luck to Aaron for 5x World Kitesurfing Champion...

Who is Aaron Hadlow?
Aaron Hadlow is the current and 4X World Kitesurfing Champion and came to Ipswich to visit the Edgeriders Store on his UK Revolve Tour 08 with his main kite sponsor Flexifoil.... A couple of links below:
What has made you come along to edgeriders in Ipswich?
"Got a bit of spare time between events and it's good to come back here to the UK to promote the sport so we organised a flexifoil tour to go round the UK and we're doing a full circle making a good effort to come to the top local shops on route. Its all about promoting the sport of kitesurfing, flexifoil kites and local shops such as edgeriders in Ipswich."
What is kitesurfing and what attracted you to it?
"Kitesurfing is a big freesport, you know you have a big power kite that pulls you round on the ocean really then within that you've got so many options - freestyle, waveriding, just cruise, jump high, go fast, freeride theres so much to do and I think that's the main thing. For me in the early days it was a new sport and lots of potential to innovate and I really like that sort of thing that's pretty much why I got into it."
You say you've been into kiting since the early days and PKRA World Kitesurfing Champ for the last 4 years. What are your aspirations for this year? To win everything?
"Well, yeah - hopefully and if I can win and get 5X world champion then that would be amazing but I know its very close and its difficult so and every year it gets more so but so far I'm leading the championship and I've won a couple of other events outside of that. It's goin well so far so a bit more practise just keep on top of things then hopefully I'll do it again."
Why is the sport good for young people to get into?
"Well it's quite an easy sport you don't need too much equipment and that was a good thing for me you know. With windsurfing I had far too much stuff, I couldn't rig it properly when I was younger. With a kite you literally pump it up and go as a kid I'd come back from school grab my stuff and go. And it just exciting again you can do so many things so I think for young kids to get into it it's exciting and a good ambition. You need to be aware though that the kites are powerful and need proper tuition to make the most of it safely."
When did you start on the kite scene?
"Well I started in 2000 when I was 11 then I progressed from there then a couple of years later I was competing in the UK and I did that for a couple of years then moved onto International so this is actually my 6th season on tour and four of them I've won and I'm leading this year. That's good progression..."
