BT Show & Tell
Firstly, a big thank you to British Telecom (BT) for giving us the space to advertise our business and thank you to Paul Thomas for organising the event and giving us the permission to do so.
Throughout the 2013 and 2014 winter seasons one of the key things we learned is that the ski/snow sport is absolutely massive amongst BT employees; however the name of Edgeriders had not been so successfully spread through word-of-mouth and many of the hundreds of workers were unaware of our whereabouts. To put an end to this we conjured an idea to promote ourselves, instead of handing in leaflets of compliment slips, we asked if we could display our stock in a way that cannot be missed by anyone, a stand much like you would see at an open day held by a business.
We were granted this permission and were given some tables, chairs and a TV to use, the space given was in the hallway where the employees gathered for their lunch and we held the sand from 11:00-14:00. We divided the stand into two halves using the two tables generously given into water sports
And the other into winter sports.
During this time we met and greeted loads of members of staff all interested in why we were here and what we were doing (also backing up the theory that ski/snow sports were very popular) and with the help of our staff we were swarmed with men and women asking questions. Alongside answering questions, we handed out plenty of compliment slips, discount codes and other business cards and can now safely say that BT is aware of whom we are.
Thank you again to everyone who made this day possible and we look forward to dealing with the extra customers in the 2015 season.
